There's a lot of cutting edge technology on the Mercedes EQS 450 4Matic, from the optional Hyperscreen dashboard to advanced driver assistance systems. On paper and in showrooms, these features are impressive, but real world usability and reliability have been a topic of discussion among owners and reviewers. There are some who say the proliferation of tech can be overwhelming or distracting, others praise the intuitive systems. Some features have been debated for their practicality, some have been called out for being too steep of a learning curve for the car’s interface, and there have been questions about how the tech will hold up over time. In addition, when it comes to people that drive, some have even criticized the software glitches or system crashes, leaving their doubts regarding the long term reliability of such high tech in the car. It often talks about whether traditional luxury car buyers are ready for such a tech focused experience, and how it stacks up against tech offerings from companies such as Tesla.

At first the tech is mind blowing, but then you realize you only use about 20% of it regularly. Hyperscreen is cool, but it’s distracting.
