If you're buying used, go 4.7L. It is the engine Aston wanted to put in the car from the start, and it should have better resale value.

Automotive nirvana is a good exhaust on a 4.3L. On paper, the 4.7L is better, but there is something magical about coaxing every bit of power out of the 4.3L.

In public, you would have a hard time telling the difference unless you were really pushing it. Both are fantastic engines.

The engine is only a part of it. Most of the 4.7L cars will also have other upgrades that make the entire package better. It is not just a bigger engine, but an evolution.

The 4.3L is charming if you like working the engine hard. However, the extra torque of the 4.7L is a godsend for everyday driving.

Own both and the 4.7L is better in every way. Aston has somehow taken all 4.3L feedback and made the perfect engine.

I prefer the 4.3L. It has a more raw feel to it that's more what I would expect from an Aston. The 4.7L is great, but perhaps almost too refined.

The 4.7L is a no-brainer. It has more power and a better torque curve, and it feels more modern. For collectors, not drivers, there is the 4.3L.
