What is the biggest misperception about the Viper's handling?

The Dodge Viper has a reputation for being twitchy, unpredictable or even dangerous to handle. But many owners and experienced drivers counter that such perceptions are outdated or over simplified. But the debate over the Viper’s handling involves more than a simple question. A few argue it drives so well when properly set up and driven correctly that it becomes a beast, while others say the car is fundamentally difficult to drive at the limit due to its design. Comparisons of the Viper’s handling to other high performance cars, both modern and classic, and how changes in automotive technology has changed our perceptions of what good handling is, are common discussions. This topic tends to open up discussions about the place of driver aids, the value of 'analog' driving, and the development of sports car dynamics over the years.
