Activa is the name of a scooter which changed the fortunes of Honda in India and '3G' denotes its third generation. The Honda Activa was first launched in year 2000 with its first generation model. The same model continued for a long period of time, discontinuing in 2009 as the second generation Honda Activa named as Activa 110 was launched. The engine was changed and a new design was introduced under the same name. The second generation was discontinued in 2015 and the third generation named Activa 3G was launched. Honda Activa is also offered in two other variants, Activa-i with a lightweight approach and Activa 125 with a more powerful 125 cc engine and advanced options.
