It's a beast for touring! It is very easy to long ride because of the upright position and torquey engine. All you need is a bigger windscreen.
On pure road touring, I wouldn't choose it. It is great for mixed terrain, but if you are going to be sticking to tarmac, there are better options out there.
However, with the right mods, it’s excellent. On mine, I’ve done 1000-mile days. All the differences between the comfort seat, taller windscreen, and aux fuel tank.
