Now that we have some time under our belt with the Nissan LEAF, how does its value proposition stack up in 2024?
The Nissan LEAF is now over a decade old and the EV landscape has changed a lot since. However some are questioning the LEAF’s good value for money, particularly as recent models promise longer range, faster charging and enhanced features. It has a lower price point than many competitors, is reliable and Nissan has experience with EVs. Its shorter range and older technology, however, could dull its appeal with some buyers. Often the LEAF is discussed in relation to newer budget EVs, comparing total cost of ownership, tax incentives, and the value of brand reputation in the EV marketplace.
For the price, it's a great value anyway. If you want an EV, you can get a used LEAF for a fraction of the cost of newer EVs and it is great for city driving.
