The YZF-R125 is a budget conscious, commuter friendly bike with impressive fuel efficiency figures according to Yamaha. But as with many vehicles, real world fuel consumption doesn’t always match manufacturer claims. Therefore how fuel efficient the bike uses depends on riding style, traffic conditions and maintenance, among other things. R125 owners range in opinion on mileage, with some reporting to get awesome mileage, while others report to get poor mileage. The bike's fuel efficiency is also a matter of debate, compared to other 125cc motorcycles and scooters, and whether the sportier nature of the bike means higher fuel consumption than more basic models. We will discuss YZF-R125 fuel efficiency from riders’ point of view and which factors appear to have the biggest influence on the bike’s actual consumption.

On my R125 I consistently get around 110 mpg which is not far off what Yamaha claim at all. If you ride it sensibly, it's seriously efficient.
