Is TVS going to re-launch the Spectra scooter?

TVS has no plans for the re-launch of Spectra scooter in India. The scooter had a powerful 147.5 c engine, producing 8 BHP @ 7000 rpm. It came with a 4 speed automatic gearbox, making it a star of its time. It was heavy weighing at 130 kg, with a ground clearance of only 130 mm. The technology was not so advanced for the scooter, with non availability of tubeless tyres on the scooter. It cam with a kick start only, making it an odd option to choose when other brands introduced self start light weight scooters in the market.
