Is the third row on the XUV700 actually usable, or just a marketing gimmick?

The XUV700 is advertised as a seven seater SUV, but there has been a lot of talk about the practicality of its third row. Owners have reported that it’s a comfortable enough ride for adults on short trips, but others say it’s only meant for children or for extra luggage space. The talk is often about legroom, headroom, and how easy it is to get into the third row. Then there's the question of how much cargo space is left when the third row is in use. But this topic has also led to conversations if the XUV700 is really a 7 seater or if it’s more correct to call it a 5 + 2 seater? For families or those who often need to carry more than five people, the usability of the third row can be a big deal.

The third row is actually not bad and I’ve used it for adults on short trips. It’s not first class comfort, but it’s definitely usable for most people.

But I'm being real, the third row is a joke. You can barely fit my kids back there comfortably, let alone adults. For me, it’s basically just extra trunk space.

Generally people expect too much from third rows. The XUV700’s third row is pretty decent for a car in this price range. Ideal for kids or casual adult use.

It’s all about managing expectations, but the third row is usable. For a full time seven seater, you're better off with an MPV. It's okay for occasional use though.

The third row has been a lifesaver for carpooling duties. It's not luxurious, but when I need to haul extra people around, it gets the job done.
