Is the Pulsar N125 Bluetooth living up to the Pulsar brand’s performance legacy?
Indian Motorcycle blazed the trail back into the mainstream for years with Pulsar, the name synonymous with performance and sporty riding in the Indian motorcycle market. With the launch of the N125 Bluetooth, there has been much talk about whether this entry level model actually encapsulates the Pulsar DNA. There are those who say the 125cc engine doesn’t afford the exhilaration one expects from a Pulsar, and then there are others who believe that it serves the performance and efficiency it is capable of for that segment. Diluting the Pulsar brand or adapting the Pulsar essence for a new generation of riders is what the discussion often revolves around, whether Bajaj has diluted the Pulsar brand by venturing into the 125cc segment, or if they've successfully. The Bluetooth feature is also considered in terms of how it fits into the performance oriented image of the Pulsar line.
The performance is underwhelming, but it’s got the Pulsar look. It doesn't feel like a true Pulsar to me.
For a 125cc, it's pretty peppy. It’s a good entry point to the Pulsar family.
The N125 is about fuel efficiency, not performance. It's a Pulsar in name only.
I feel that it's a good balance. It is more sportier than other 125cc bikes, but is economical.
It's cool that it has Bluetooth, but I would have liked more power. Pulsar used to be about that.
It's a smart move by Bajaj. It brings in younger riders without scaring the pants off of them.
The handling is pure Pulsar. The engine is just tamed down.
Upgraded from 100cc bike and this is like a big step up in performance. It's all relative.
