Is the new Hyundai Verna's design polarizing or not?

With a bold and futuristic design, the latest generation of the Hyundai Verna has invited a lot of comments from the car enthusiasts. Some people proudly and loudly proclaim they look great, with the distinctive front grille and LED lighting, while other people don’t like them at all, specifying that they are too aggressive or unconventional. Unlike earlier Verna models that appeared more traditional sedan, the design represents a major break away. With this styling shift there has been some talk as to whether or not Hyundai has taken it a bit too far in trying to be unique in the very competitive compact sedan segment. There's also debate about how this will age over time and whether or not it will appeal to a wide swath of buyers, or just those looking for something more avant garde. Furthermore, this design raises questions regarding the practicality of it in regards to visibility and maintenance.

I’m concerned about resale value, but I love it. Will this design still look good to buyers in 5-7 years when I want to sell?

It might be a little much for some, but I think it’ll age well. It's futuristic, but not in a gimmicky way, which is hard to strike.

Polarizing for sure, but that’s not a bad thing. That's how car design evolves, Hyundai is taking risks. Do you remember when the first gen Sonata looked 'weird'? It's now a classic.

I'm worried about practicality. Visibility is an important point, and those sleek lines may look cool, but what about visibility? So imagine if those complex LED lights break and you need to try to repair them.

The design is growing on me. Initially I thought it was too much but I actually like it now because it just stands out on the road. Definitely a head turner!

Honestly, I'm not a fan. It seems so futuristic, it’s trying too hard. I like a more timeless design that will not become dated over the course of a few years.

The new design is awesome I think. And it’s about time someone shook up a boring sedan market. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's certainly not another cookie cutter car.
