Is the Mahindra XUV900 the hype it’s being made out to be?

The XUV900 is definitely worth the hype. This could be Mahindra’s crowning achievement, as they have been stepping up their game lately. This is something new in the coupe-SUV design in the Indian market.

Nakul on 29 December 2024 11:32
Nah, it's another overpriced SUV. This has been seen before with the XUV700. Initial hype, then quality issues. I don’t want to get too excited about it until I see how it performs in the real world.

Chandan on 07 January 2025 19:20
Worth the hype? Maybe. Worth the price? Probably not. Mahindra always launch their vehicles at an overprice. I would wait a year and then buy it when the prices inevitably drop.

Rahul on 14 January 2025 15:38
I have been a long time Mahindra owner and I can say that their build quality has improved a lot. The XUV900 could be a winner if they price it right and provide good after sales service.

Agha on 16 January 2025 03:19
The question is whether we really need another SUV in the market. I believe that every manufacturer is just making SUVs and not really innovating with them. Mahindra, show me something truly revolutionary.

Vijay on 18 January 2025 23:28
I'm cautiously optimistic. The XUV700 was a step in the right direction, and if they have taken note of what went wrong during that launch, the XUV900 could be amazing. We should not forget, however, that Mahindra has a history of overpromising and underdelivering.

Rahul on 20 January 2025 19:23
Hype is not the game, execution is. Yes, it is worth the excitement if Mahindra can deliver a reliable product with all the promised features at a competitive price. But that's a big "if".

Charu on 29 January 2025 23:13
I’m an automotive enthusiast and I’m excited about the XUV900. This proves that Indian manufacturers are able to manufacture world class designs. It’s either going to live up to the hype or not, but it’s pushing the industry forward.

Sourabh on 02 February 2025 14:16
ADAS on Indian roads? Good luck with that! These systems do not work well with our unpredictable traffic. Our "creative" lane usage is already having a meltdown with the lane keeping assist.

Divya on 02 February 2025 17:20
The time has come for India to get ADAS. It’s not perfect at first but it will make both drivers and infrastructure better. Indian roads may be moving towards a safer future with the XUV900.

Ravi on 02 February 2025 17:19
I am skeptical about the effectiveness of ADAS in India because I have used ADAS in Europe. On highways, the systems are great, but in city traffic? I think it will be a headache rather than help.

Deepak on 03 February 2025 05:07
I am concerned about overreliance on these systems. Indian drivers already have a reputation as reckless. What if they begin to rely on ADAS and it does not see a cow crossing the road?

Angad on 03 February 2025 01:12
ADAS is just a marketing gimmick for the Indian market at the moment. These features will be more trouble than they are worth until our infrastructure gets much better.

Saurabh on 02 February 2025 12:03
I'm cautiously optimistic. If these systems have truly been adapted to Indian conditions by Mahindra, it would be revolutionary. If it's a copy paste from their international models, we're looking at a rough ride.

Kuldeep on 02 February 2025 17:24
Also, as a tech enthusiast, I am very excited about ADAS in the XUV900. It’s not perfect, but it’s a starting point. To improve road safety in India, we have to start somewhere, and this may be it.

Abhinav on 02 February 2025 08:03
Absolutely! Quality and design have come a long way in Mahindra. The XUV900 seems promising and can be a threat to international brands as it will be priced at lesser cost.

Neeraj on 02 February 2025 18:34
Compete? Maybe. Beat them? Unlikely. Mahindra still does not have the brand value of a BMW or Mercedes; let’s be honest. It will take more than one good model to change that perception.

Deepak on 02 February 2025 09:15
I think Mahindra has an actual shot here. No international brand understands the Indian market better than them. If they can hit the luxury aspect right, they could have a big market share.

Sourabh on 02 February 2025 09:45
I’ve owned Mahindra cars as well as German cars and I can say that the gap is closing. However, there is still work to do for Mahindra in terms of refinement and build quality. To compete, the XUV900 has to be flawless.

Pallavi on 02 February 2025 21:27
The car is part of the experience. Can Mahindra provide similar premium dealership and after sales service as luxury brands? It is that which will decide whether the XUV900 makes the cut in this segment.

Sujit on 02 February 2025 07:57
I believe we are asking the wrong question. Mahindra should instead come up with something unique rather than competing directly. They can’t beat the Germans at their own game, but they can change the rules.

Sourabh on 03 February 2025 05:18
Let's not forget pricing. Mahindra will find plenty of takers if they can offer 80% of luxury and features at 60% of the price. Not all people need German badges on their car.

Vibhu on 02 February 2025 23:58
I want Mahindra to win, but come on. BMW and Mercedes have decades of engineering expertise and brand value built up. The XUV900 might be a good product but it will not be a game changer in this segment.
