It's a handful in really tight stuff. It’s heavier and more powerful than the enduro bike, making it harder to maneuver. You can do it, but it's a bigger effort than you'd put into a 450 or 500.

I think it’s a great compromise. It’s not as nimble as a pure dirt bike, but the power is awesome for blasting out of tough situations. And you can actually ride it to the trails comfortably.

Too powerful? Maybe for beginners. However, that power is a godsend for experienced riders on long climbs or on deep sand. It’s just knowing how to use this stuff.

Surprisingly to me, the 690 has been surprisingly capable in technical terrain. Good throttle control and the right tires are the key. It's not as much bike as most people would need to use off-road, but it's not unusable by any means.

For super tight single track, it's definitely overkill. If that’s your main riding, then you’d be better off with something smaller. It’s hard to beat for a mix of fire roads, trails, and some technical stuff.
