Is the Bolero Neo's design right in the middle of classic Bolero ruggedness and modern aesthetics?
The Mahindra Bolero Neo tries to mix the iconic boxy design of the original Bolero with modern styling elements. Enthusiasts and potential buyers have also been debating whether this design approach successfully modernizes the Bolero’s look or ends up in an awkward middle ground. Others back the retention of the classic Bolero silhouette, saying it retains the vehicle's rugged identity. But others see the updates as too minor to distinguish the Neo from more modern competition. Is Mahindra’s update of a classic design for modern tastes a smart move, or would it be better to have gone bolder? This question takes a look at the difficulties of updating a design that has already been established. It also looks at the bigger question of how much a iconic model can evolve visually over time and still remain true to its brand identity.
I think they nailed it. In the Neo, Bolero keeps that classic Bolero shape, but looks way more modern. It reminds you of an old friend who has had a great makeover.
