Is the Alto K10 the 'mountain goat' of Indian roads?

The Alto K10 has become a nimble and capable vehicle on mountain tracks, so much so that it is often referred to as the 'mountain goat'. It is light, peppy and small enough to snake through tight and twisty roads. Numerous drivers say it is capable of traversing difficult off roading areas that much bigger SUVs don't manage. But some feel that reputation is exaggerated and the Alto K10 is not quite up to the task of real off roading due to low ground clearance and power. The Alto K10’s mountain fitness has always been a topic of debate ranging from how the vehicle manages its safety features while being active and agile or the skill of the driver while manoeuvring in such conditions.
