Is the Alfa Romeo Brera 1.8 a future classic?

The Alfa Romeo Brera, with its stunning Pininfarina-designed body and unique 1.75 TBi engine, stands out in the sports coupe market. With production having ended and these models becoming rarer, there's much debate among car enthusiasts as to whether the Model T will become a future classic. All of this comes into play with the discussion of this car, including its limited production run, its Italian styling, and the growing nostalgia for pre-electric sports cars. But his fears about reliability and parts availability may see it soured as a classic. Particularly the 1.8 (actually 1.75 TBi), though, is being seen as a sweet spot in the range, providing a mix of character and performance that epitomises the Alfa Romeo brand.

Any interesting ICE car from this era could become a classic with the push towards EVs. The Brera is the perfect fit.

The Brera is a cult classic. It’ll be a cult classic, but not a classic classic.

It'll never be a true classic in the US, at least maybe in Europe.

Definitely. That 1.75 TBi engine is a gem, and it’s already rare. And it’s one of the last of the “old school” Alfas.

It's a toss-up. There is the looks, but not the performance to match it.

No way, it's too unreliable. I want future classics to be drivable, not garage queens.

Absolutely! The Brera's design is classic and will only get more so with time.
