Is TecPac’s Chetak 2903 retro design a hit or miss?
Bajaj Chetak 2903 TecPac is the return of iconic Chetak scooter in electric avatar. Some love the nostalgia of the styling that harks back to the original, but others find it too old fashioned for a modern EV. There are clear throwbacks to the past with the curvy body panels, round headlamp and classic silhouette. In a market full of futuristic looking electric scooters, does this retro approach work? Does it appeal more to older riders who remember the original Chetak, or will it pull in younger buyers also? So, what impact does the classic design have on it’s practicality and features as opposed to the more modern designs?
The retro design is brilliant I think. It's not a generic looking EV, and it has a cool vintage vibe. It'll also appeal to the nostalgic older riders and hipster youngsters.
Meh, I'm not a fan. To me, it looks dated and doesn't scream 'high tech EV' to me. I prefer something that looks a bit more modern and sleek.
I’m starting to like the retro styling. I first thought it was too old school, but I actually love how it combines old and new. It’s not over the top, but it’s unique.
I love it! This design is fresh and pays respect to the Chetak being an icon. It will age better than some of the more 'futuristic' designs out there, and it's timeless.
It's a miss for me. The problem is that their retro look limits what they can do with the design and features. I’d rather something more practical and less nostalgic.
