Is Skoda Enyaq's software bad as people claim?

We’ve heard a lot of good things about the Enyaq, its comfort, its build quality and its driving experience. But the vehicle's software and infotainment system has frustrated many owners. Nor does it escape complaint about laggy interfaces, frequent glitches and missing features compared with other EVs. Some say that recent updates made the situation better. Now let’s talk about real world experiences of Enyaq owners and see if the software issues are deal breakers or just minor annoyances in what is otherwise a very good EV.

The software is terrible, yeah. I’ve been with my Enyaq for a year now and it’s been nothing but frustration with a laggy interface, random glitches, etc. It's also ridiculous that you have to click 'OK' every time you start the car.

It’s not great, but it’s not as bad as people say it is. I've had mine for six months, it has its hiccups but is generally usable. The things are definitely better than the latest updates.

It depends, I think, on what you’re comparing it to. If you’re coming from a Tesla or a high end smartphone, then yes, it will feel clunky. It's not that far behind other traditional automakers, however.

Definitely the Enyaq's weak point is the software. The rest of the car is so good that it's frustrating. The build quality is great, and I like the comfort, but the infotainment system is straight from 5 years ago.

The software itself I don't mind that much. It’s not perfect, but it works. I don’t mind the built in system too much, since I use Android Auto most of the time anyway.

I think the software issues are overblown. Sure, it’s got some quirks, but it’s not like the car is unusable. People just can’t help but complain online.

As a tech worker, the Enyaq's software is embarrassingly bad. It's clear that Skoda (or VW Group, more generally) is struggling to make the transition into the age of the software defined vehicle.
