Is Kia Venga’s boxy shape practical or just ugly?
The Kia Venga has a unique boxy shape for a small MPV. Its quirky, utilitarian look is a turnoff for some people, while others love it. The design is about interior space and visibility, with large windows and a tall roof. But there is a price to be paid for sleek styling. It is a boxy shape which allows a very spacious interior for the car's compact exterior dimensions. It is easy to get into and out of and has good visibility from a high seating position. However, does the practicality compensate for the somewhat dated, van like appearance? Is the Venga's design simply a clever use of space, or lazy styling? How does it look visually compared to more modern compact crossovers?
I actually dig the boxy look. It's got character and doesn't look like the rest of the cookie cutter crossovers on the road these days. And the practicality is unbeatable; so much room in so little footprint.
