In extreme weather, how the Bajaj CT100 performs?
Due to the climate in India being so diverse which can range from scorching heat to heavy monsoons or even snow, in some parts of it, brings a number of challenges for the vehicles. Since the Bajaj CT100 is a very popular bike across the country, it is used to these extreme conditions. Many users, such as people who use it for daily commute or work, can rely on its performance and reliability under different weather scenarios. Engine cooling, electrical system reliability in rain and cold starting capabilities are factors. The CT100 is aimed at affordability and efficiency, but how does it cope with these environmental stresses compared to more expensive bikes? This post discusses how the CT100 fares in challenging weather conditions in different climates, based on real world experiences of CT100 owners.
In the heat it's surprisingly good. They’ve ridden mine in 45°C weather and have had no issues. It seems to be doing okay with the simple air cooled engine.
Terrible in heavy rain. I’ve had starting issues during monsoons and the electrics are prone to water damage.
In most conditions it is ok but struggles in extreme cold. It takes forever to start on winter mornings.
I have used mine in everything from the dead of winter to the blazing heat of the desert and it has been fine. It just needs to be taken care of by taking basic precautions like covering during heavy rain.
The CT100 is a hardy weed that does well in all conditions but don't expect it to bloom. It gets the job done, though.
I live in a hilly place with harsh winters and my CT100 has been good. All it needs is to warm up properly in the cold.
It’s not terrible, but it’s not great in any extreme condition. You can't expect weather proof performance for the price.
