How good is the CT125X Drum's build quality to merit "tough as nails" marketing?
The CT125X Drum has been heavily promoted by Bajaj as a rugged, durable motorcycle which is built to last in the most challenging conditions. The features highlighted in the marketing included the reinforced frame, metal belly pan, and heavy duty suspension. But there's a debate about whether the bike actually lives up to this hard image in real use. Most owners point to its ability to handle harsh roads and heavy loads without a problem but some experienced issues with worn out parts and general flimsiness. Expectations are usually played around this price point and whether Bajaj has got the right balance of affordability and durability. Comparisons are also drawn to other budget friendly bikes on the market and how they fare over time. Dredging up the debate about perceived versus actual build quality and how it influences the CT125X Drum's value proposition altogether.
Mine is a year old and it's taken everything i've thrown at it. It's surprisingly good value for money, build wise. It’s not flimsy like some other budget bikes, it feels solid.
