How does the Tata Punch EV perform, compared to its ICE counterpart, in real life?
The Tata Punch EV and its ICE equivalent are similar in dimensions and styling, but offer very different driving experiences. Electric motor advocates praise the instant torque and smooth acceleration of electricity and traditionalists praise the connection with the tarmac at speed which is given by ICE. Discussion abounds among owners and reviewers regarding the Punch EV's performance in city traffic, highway cruising and hilly terrain. But some say the EV is more responsive to drive in cities and they don’t miss the familiar sound or vibration of an internal combustion engine.
