But does it excel in all these areas, or is it a jack of all trades, a master of none? Fans of the bike claim it can handle anything, but others maintain that it's too much bike for technical off-road riding and not comfortable enough for long highway stretches. On with the good and bad of using this 690 Enduro as an all-purpose motorcycle, and does it actually live up to the 'do it all' reputation?

Absolutely! I have had my 690 for three years now, and it takes everything I throw at it. Riding to and from work, weekend trips, and even some gnarly single track. It's not perfect at everything; it's damn good at most things.
