Does the Chetak 3502 TecPac’s 153 km range fix range anxiety or is it still an issue?

One of the biggest problems that electric vehicle owners face is range anxiety, and that's especially true in countries like India where charging infrastructure is still being developed. This is because the Bajaj Chetak 3502 TecPac, which has a claimed range of 153 km on a single charge, is leagues ahead of most other electric scooters out there. Real world range can vary depending on how you ride, what terrain you ride through, and weather conditions. It makes one wonder if the 153 km range is enough for daily commutes and occasional longer trips, or is riders still fearful of running out of power. The range debate also veers into the convenience of quickly refueling a petrol scooter and whether this is enough to make skeptics convert to electric.

Plenty for daily use at 153 km! At 50 km a day I rarely ride more than 50 km a day so this would last me several days without charging.

I still get anxious, but it's better than most. But what if I forget to charge one day? Do you ever have to make an unexpected trip, or need to? 200+ km range would make me more comfortable.

The charging time is the real issue, 3+ hours to charge is a long time to wait if you are in a hurry, the range is fine.

It's more than enough for city use. I’d still be nervous about running out of juice for weekend trips or visiting family in nearby towns.

The majority of range anxiety is psychological. 153 km is enough for 99% of scooter trips. We need to change our mindset, not ask for ranges that are not realistic.

It’s a good start, but not quite. With a range closer to 200 km I would feel much more confident.

Range is fine but we need better charging infrastructure to truly address range anxiety. The biggest difference would be more charging points, rather than extra 50 km range.
