Can you live with the Aerox 155's lack of storage space and flat floorboard?

Yamaha Aerox 155 breaks from the trend of the scooter design as it does not have a flat floorboard, a feature that Indian riders are used to. While this design choice helps to lend to this cars sporty look, it also brings raises questions about practicality with the car being used on an everyday basis. Lacking a flat floorboard also means there's little room for bag or grocery storage between the rider's feet, something you might be used to with a conventional scooter. Also, the underseat storage is there but it’s not as capacious as some other scooters out there. Factoring in these variables results in arguments about whether on balance the Aerox simply has too much sportiness at the cost of being useful, or whether the performance gains that it does have are worth the practical limitations that come with it. Many riders talk about how they work around the lack of storage, accessories that help increase storage capacity, or how this design has affected their errands and their daily routines.

Adapting your lifestyle is all it’s about. I’ve started to use backpacks and learnt how to pack properly. The bobmyness of the Aerox is far more outweighed by the joy of simply riding.

I commute daily, and I don't think it's practical. There’s limited storage and I always seem to end up taking the car for the most basic of errands. Now it's more of a weekend fun ride for me.

It is something that takes a little while to get used to but is doable. I added a small front basket for extra storage. It's a trade off for the sporty ride and looks.

It's honestly a pain for everyday use. I really miss being able to carry bags between my feet, and not having a flat surface to rest your feet on for longer rides. Fun rides are great, errands not so much.

It's a compromise for sure, but not a deal breaker. I've grown accustomed to using a backpack to haul around groceries and my helmet fits in the underseat storage just fine. The lost convenience is made up for by the performance.
