But does the XUV300's limited interior design hoodwink its performance and safety features?
Interior design of the Mahindra XUV300 had gotten a mixed review. Some think it is functional, others say it looks dated compared with its competitors. It is an interesting debate about priorities when buying a new car – do modern aesthetics come before performance and safety? The XUV300's safety standards are naturally top notch and engine options are powerful but, the car is undermined for having dull dashboard and bad infotainment system. So how important is interior design in the package of the car as a whole? Are consumers willing to give up on looks for better performance and safety? Is the interior where we spend most of our time, and is it therefore an important factor? We will see how different types of buyers will weigh these factors and whether Mahindra should push for a interior update for the XUV300.
The interior is a real letdown as it's all outdated. I had test driven the XUV300 and loved how it performed but there was something about that old school dashboard that I just couldn’t get over. I ended up buying a Venue.
I think people put too much focus on fancy interiors. Inside, the XUV300 is functional and decently built. A car with all the bells and whistles but questionable reliability, I’d rather have a solid, safe car.
The infotainment system is a clunky experience compared with that of competitors, and it's not just about looks. In 2024, a user friendly, responsive interface is going to be important in the daily driving experience.
I don't mind the interior at all. The XUV300 s high engine power and its safety features was what made me purchase the vehicle. Nothing matters more than those, or having the latest touchscreen.
The interior game really needs to step up for Mahindra. In many ways, the XUV300 is great, but that dated interior makes it feel you're driving an older car.
The simple, no nonsense interior is what I like. Not everyone is looking for a spaceship like dashboard. The controls are refreshing as there really are nothing to them.
It's definitely a weak point inside, but it's not a deal breaker. It’s more than made up for by the car’s performance and safety features. And, after all, you can always upgrade the infotainment.
