Are the Aeroride E-Spark easy to modify or upgrade?
The e scooter community is big on customization and upgrades, with riders looking to make their e scooters their own or push performance. This has gotten the attention of modding enthusiasts, however there are questions about whether the Aeroride E-Spark is compatible with aftermarket parts and how easy it is to make modifications. Some have even added larger batteries or upgraded controllers, while others have had trouble finding compatible components. It also voids the warranty on some mods. So let’s dig into the possibilities of customizing the E Spark and whether it’s a suitable platform for those of us who like to tinker and upgrade our scooters.
It's pretty mod-friendly! Upgrading the battery and adding some custom lighting has been relatively trouble free. But just make sure you don’t void the warranty.
Honestly, I wouldn't bother. The stock setup is OK, and fiddling with it might just cause more problems than it’s worth.
Potential is definitely there, but the choices of aftermarket parts are less than more popular brands. You may have to be creative.
There are some awesome custom E Sparks out there that I’ve seen. It’s pretty easy to make it your own with a little DIY spirit.
While it’s not as easy to mod as some other scooters, you can do it. You will just have to be prepared to do some research and perhaps fabricate some custom parts.
I had a nightmare trying to upgrade the controller. Avoid cosmetic mods unless you know what you’re doing.
E-Spark is a great platform for mods! I've boosted mine up to hit 40mph and it's still rock solid. Just be safe and responsible.
