I'm concerned that they’ll overdo it with the thump, and come up with something that sounds fake. It’s better to allow it to have its own voice.

This could really be huge for the custom scene. A cheaper base bike makes it possible for more people to be able to customize. There will be tons of wild Classic 250 builds.

I doubt it. What real custom builders want is more power to work with. That means that the 250 will be considered a beginner's bike, not a serious custom platform.

In fact, it might actually propel customization in new directions. If it were about aesthetics and practicality instead of power, builders would be free to get creative.

It's definitely a cash grab. At this point RE is just milking the Classic name. They already have the Hunter and Bullet in the lower cc range. What's next, a Classic 150?

I disagree. In India, the 250cc segment actually is a pretty popular segment and RE was missing out on that. For those new riders who find the 350 too intimidating, this could be a great entry point.

It's probably both. They’re a business after all, but they’re also innovating. But the 250cc engine could also be a great platform for future models.

It could even increase 350 sales. The 250 might be tested for a ride, and they’ll decide they want more power, so they’ll upgrade to the 350.

It's a smart move. Now they are competing with the likes of Jawa and Yezdi. So, they have a direct competitor in that segment.

It's a whole different animal. The Trials 500 is styled to look old, basically like a modern retro scrambler, but it actually feels old, for better or worse.
