Will tubeless spoke wheels on the Goan Classic 350 be the first of many for Royal Enfield?

I'm afraid that this will actually limit customization options. RE could kill the aftermarket for wheel conversions if they start offering tubeless spoke stock.

It's a step in the right direction but I hope they don’t stop here. Brands like Jawa and Yezdi are nipping at RE's heels, and so RE has to keep innovating to stay competitive.
Is the Goan Classic 350's design really Goa, or just using the name for marketing?

They’ve done a decent job capturing the Goan vibe, I think. The bright colours and laid back riding position are exactly what you get in Goa.

It’s not really Goan, it’s more of a generic ‘beach cruiser’. I wish they had centered the design more in the region by incorporating some local patterns or design elements.

As a person who's been to Goa a lot, the bike does take on some of that vibe. It's not perfect, but there's that relaxed, retro cool thing that you find everywhere in Goa.

And let’s be real, it’s mostly marketing. To make it exotic and appealing, they slapped 'Goan' on it. The design could be for any beach town anywhere in the world.

I feel it’s a nice tribute to Goa’s bike culture. Royal Enfields are incredibly popular with tourists and locals alike, as anyone who’s been there will know. It’s like a nod to that connection.
Is the Goan Classic 350's design really Goa, or just using the name for marketing?

Instead of missing such an opportunity to collaborate with Goan artists or designers to create something truly authentic, they should have taken the next step. It feels a little superficial as it is.
Is the Goan Classic 350's design really Goa, or just using the name for marketing?

Marketing name aside, the design does make you feel like you’re in Goa. It's more about a mood than literal representation, and I think it does that.
What does the Goan Classic 350’s price point do to its value proposition in comparison to other Royal Enfield models?
09 January 2025 09:36
I feel that the price is fair. It's a factory custom look with some really nice features, like tubeless spokes. Also, it is cheaper than getting a standard Classic and modding it yourself.

What you get for the price is too high. If you want to stretch the budget a bit you can get a 650 twin which is a much more capable bike all around.

09 January 2025 09:36
It’s priced for enthusiasts that want something unique, but don’t want to go through the hassle of customizing. Because not everyone has the time or the skills to mod their bike, this fills a nice niche.

This pricing is pushing RE. They're hoping the Goan name and style will add up to a premium, but I'm not so sure it will.
What does the Goan Classic 350’s price point do to its value proposition in comparison to other Royal Enfield models?

The exclusivity is what has value. It’s pricier, yes, but you’re unlikely to come across another one just like yours on the road. That's worth extra for some people.
What does the Goan Classic 350’s price point do to its value proposition in comparison to other Royal Enfield models?

This is the start of RE trying to move upmarket, and I am worried. But if all their new models come with this price premium, they'll become less accessible and more of a niche bike.
What does the Goan Classic 350’s price point do to its value proposition in comparison to other Royal Enfield models?

When you think about the target market, the price makes sense. This isn't for the budget conscious buyer, it's for someone who wants a stylish, ready to ride custom right out the showroom.
Is Goan Classic 350 a marketing gimmick or a unique offering in itself?
09 January 2025 09:36
Definitely not all a marketing gimmick. For many riders who have wanted tubeless spoke wheels on a Classic 350 for years, the tubeless spoke wheels alone are a game changer.
Is Goan Classic 350 a marketing gimmick or a unique offering in itself?
09 January 2025 09:36
I think it's a bit of both. It's cool that the new features are there, but RE has thrown everything at the wall to see what sticks. They should have just made these customization options.
Is Goan Classic 350 a marketing gimmick or a unique offering in itself?
09 January 2025 09:36
Yeah, it’s a unique offering. With the ape hangers, the whitewalls and that new exhaust it has a personality. This is not just a Classic 350 with a couple of bolt ons.
Is Goan Classic 350 a marketing gimmick or a unique offering in itself?

All the way a marketing gimmick. They just want to get every bit out of the 350 platform they can before moving on to something new.
