How does the Continental GT 650 Mr Clean fare on long rides as a cafe racer?

It depends on your body type, I think. I'm 6'2" and long rides are cramped. But my shorter friend loves it.

I've had mine for 2 years and have zero issues. As reliable as my old Honda CB650R.

It’s good, but not at Japanese level yet. You’ll see more minor niggles more often.

Japanese brands have fine reliability, but you can get hit or miss on dealer support.

It's a toss-up. Some guys have issues, other guys don’t. Luck of the draw, really.

It's solid engine, but I have had electrical gremlins. Still love the bike though.

Japanese bikes are boring. The GT 650 has character AND it is reliable enough for me.

I have put 30,000km on mine in 2 years, with zero issues. They just need regular oil changes and chain maintenance.

It’s worked out pretty well for me, but I had some electrical gremlins early on. It was dealer sorted under warranty though.

A hell of a lot more reliable than my old Bullet. The 650 twin is a well engineered engine and this shows in daily use.

I have used mine everyday and it has been great. If you just keep up with the maintenance schedule, it’ll treat you well.

I had some problems with the clutch cable stretching out but that is a simple fix. Otherwise it's been bulletproof.

The only thing that's annoying is how much the chain needs to be adjusted. It seems to need it more often than my Japanese bikes.

It's generally reliable, but you’re at the mercy of quality control. I had more issues than my friend whose bike was from the same batch.

For value, it’s hard to beat the GT 650. Yes, the Triumph is more refined, but is it twice as much car? Not for me.

I test rode the Z900RS and the GT 650. The Enfield is just more characterful but the Kawasaki is smoother and faster.
