As standard, the Turbo S has some extra features. Factor those in and the price difference is not as significant as it first appears.

I live in Minnesota and the Taycan 4S has been surprisingly good in winter. In terms of snow, the AWD system is fantastic, but you lose a lot of range in the cold.

The extreme heat here in Arizona has not been an issue at all. I can say that the battery cooling system seems to work really well and I haven’t observed any significant range loss.

I’ve experienced a big range hit in both very cold and very hot weather. And if you live in an area with extreme temperatures it is something to be aware of but manageable.

Being in Florida, I have not had any heat problems. There is no issue with the AC and the car doesn't seem to suffer from performance at all.

My biggest problem in cold weather has been the charge port freezing shut. It’s annoying but a little deicer spray solves it.

I believe the weather effects are overemphasized. You lose a bit of range, but not nearly as much as people make it seem. Just plan accordingly.

The head up display is excellent and wasn’t given good enough credit. It's really well integrated, until you forget it's there and driving becomes so much easier and safer.

It's a different beast altogether. However, you do miss the sound and vibration of a traditional Porsche engine as the instant torque and smooth acceleration of the Taycan 4S will be addictive.

Initially I was skeptical, but when I drove the Taycan 4S, I’m convinced it’s every bit a Porsche. It handles phenomenally and feels more planted than some of the rear engine 911s.

A flat six naturally aspirated noise is impossible to beat. The Taycan 4S is impressive, but it never offered that emotional connection you get from a traditional Porsche.

It's apples and oranges. But the Taycan 4S is hugely capable fun, just a different kind. You trade for effortless power, cutting edge tech, and all that, with raw mechanical, but refined away from the original bad feel, feel.
