Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is available in just a single petrol engine option. The same can also be bought with a low power CNG version but diesel Alto K10 still has time to be launched in the country. It comes with a 998 cc, K10B engine producing 67 PS and 90 Nm of torque. The gearbox used is a 5-speed manual unit whereas the AMT gearbox has also been provided for easy city riding. The car comes in excellent color options and even get a driver airbag as optional in the top variant. On-road prices for the petrol car starts from INR 3.7 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki has not yet launched the Alto K10 diesel in India. The expected mileage of Alto K10 diesel is around 26-30 KMPL (under test conditions, expected). Maruti Alto K10 diesel is expected to be powered by a 970 cc 1.0 litre diesel Engine which is expected to generate maximum power of 60 bhp with maximum torque of 150 nm. The engine will be mated to 5-Speed Manual Gearbox. The suspension system consists of Gas Filled McPherson Strut suspension at front and 3-link Rigid Axle Suspension at rear. Expected price would be around Rs. 4,00,000.

The Alto K10 in its diesel version would arrive in India in the year 2016. The car is expected with the same 2-cylinder, 793 cc engine producing 47 BHP and 125 NM of torque. The car would get a 5-speed gearbox and it is expected to return a mileage of 27+ kmpl. The car would be same in dimensions and would share mostly all the components with the petrol model. The price for the same is expected to be around INR 4 lakh.
