Is the Bolero Neo's design right in the middle of classic Bolero ruggedness and modern aesthetics?

It's too conservative for me. They should have done all of it, modernized it. This is too much like what it is, like they were too afraid to fix much.

It is the perfect design for its intended market. Boleros are bought by people who want the tough, no nonsense look. Whatever was too fancy would scare off the core buyers.

I'm torn. While I’m glad they kept it recognizable, I wish they would have done something more daring. It’s a bit of a missed opportunity.

I'm a long time Bolero owner, and I love that I can still recognize it as a Bolero. They're just too many car updates that completely lose the original character.

Other compact SUVs look more modern than the Neo. Even buyers in rural areas want to see modern designs these days, and Mahindra needs to understand that.

Its charm lies in the boxy design! Not every car has to be a spaceship. In a sea of overly styled crossovers, the Neo stands out.
Does the price tag for the Bolero Neo add up to its features and abilities as one of the compact SUVs ruling the market?
27 December 2024 08:02
It’s overpriced for what you get. For the same money, you can find much more modern and feature packed SUVs. The Bolero name is being traded too much on the Neo.

27 December 2024 08:02
The price is bang on if you know what you’re getting. This isn’t about having features, it’s about having a vehicle that’s tough as nails, that’ll go anywhere and last forever.
Does the price tag for the Bolero Neo add up to its features and abilities as one of the compact SUVs ruling the market?
27 December 2024 08:02
It’s priced fairly for what it offers, and Mahindra needs to focus on the safety features in order to justify the high end price. Put a couple of airbags on it and better NCAP rating and it'd be a no brainer.
Does the price tag for the Bolero Neo add up to its features and abilities as one of the compact SUVs ruling the market?

I think the Neo is worth every rupee as someone who has owned fancier SUVs before. It'll be less to go wrong, easy to fix, and running long after those feature rich cars are in the scrapyard.
Does the price tag for the Bolero Neo add up to its features and abilities as one of the compact SUVs ruling the market?
27 December 2024 08:02
The pricing is weird. It's not priced cheaply enough for rural buyers looking for a tough vehicle, but it's not feature rich enough either for urban buyers. Mahindra has to choose a lane.
Does the price tag for the Bolero Neo add up to its features and abilities as one of the compact SUVs ruling the market?

This is capability, not creature comfort. But if you need a vehicle that can take rough roads every day, the Neo starts to look like a bargain.
Does the price tag for the Bolero Neo add up to its features and abilities as one of the compact SUVs ruling the market?

I would say it's a bit too expensive. It’d be perfect if you drop it by a lakh. Compared to its competitors, it's in an awkward spot right now.
Is the Bolero Neo really an SUV or just another fancy matchbox on wheels?
27 December 2024 08:02
It's definitely a true SUV! It has proper off road chops thanks to the body on frame construction and rear wheel drive setup. Mine have handled some pretty tough terrain and I have yet to have an issue.
Is the Bolero Neo really an SUV or just another fancy matchbox on wheels?
27 December 2024 08:02
Come on, it's 2024! The whole true SUV debate is over. The Neo is a modern read on ruggedness with urban practicality. That's exactly what most people need these days.
Is the Bolero Neo really an SUV or just another fancy matchbox on wheels?
27 December 2024 08:02
I would say it's more of a crossover masquerading as an SUV. It’s capable, yes, but it’s not terribly refined or feature packed for the money. It's just stuck in a weird middle ground.
Is the Bolero Neo really an SUV or just another fancy matchbox on wheels?
27 December 2024 08:02
I owned both a classic Bolero and the Neo and it's a different beast. It's not as comfortable or easy to live with daily, but it still hasn't lost that Bolero toughness. It has evolved, not 'fancified'.
Is the Bolero Neo really an SUV or just another fancy matchbox on wheels?
27 December 2024 08:02
Most people buying SUVs will never take them off road, so let’s be real. What the Neo gives you is the look and feel of an SUV with better city manners. That's a win in my book.
Is the Bolero MaXX Pik-Up's bare bones design more attractive or less attractive?
27 December 2024 07:44
Love it! They don’t have any fancy electronics to break down. Able to just be a simple, reliable workhorse.
