And I think Mahindra's emphasis on ruggedness and practicality could actually be an advantage for them. Not everyone wants a delicate tech mobile that can't take rough roads.

Price point is all it comes down to. Mahindra could occupy a nice niche if they can undercut global brands while offering pretty much the same features.

The true test will be with charging infrastructure and after sales service. If they want to compete globally, Mahindra needs to nail those.

I want Mahindra to succeed, but let’s face it, perception of brand is going to be a major challenge. It will be seen as a serious global contender in years.

500 km range? That's more than enough! I barely drive 50 km a day. For most people, this'll easily last a week without charging.

Charging time isn't only about the range. So if it takes hours to charge, 500 km isn't going to be enough for road trips.

That's a good start, but let's be honest, we all know that that 500 km claim will be more like 400 km in the real world. Still not bad though.

It’s mostly psychological — range anxiety. The people will once EVs are in use, and they will see that even 500 km is enough. It's about changing mindsets.

For city use, it's great. But what about those weekend getaway to hill stations? I'm not so sure. The charging infrastructure needs to catch up.

It'll be a game changer if they can actually deliver 500 km consistently. I’ll believe it when I see it in real Indian driving conditions, however.

That’s more than enough to cure MY range anxiety! What if you only had to charge once a week or less? That's freedom from petrol pumps.

AutoPark looks like a gimmick for India. I doubt it'll be very useful, with our tight parking spots and creative parking styles.

I'm skeptical. AI can’t cope with our roads as they’re too unpredictable. In the end it could be more of a hindrance than a help.

It will be real value in emergency braking and collision avoidance. Sure, other features may not be perfect, but these could save lives.

The problem is that I worry about over reliance on these systems. Indian drivers could get used to it and become more casual with their attention to the road.
