As a tall beginner rider, how does the KTM 250 Adventure compare to the Duke 250?

I'd say go for the adventure. It's more versatile, and as a tall rider, you'll love the extra legroom. If you’re new to the sport, the Duke may feel a little small as you get more experience and want to do longer rides.

Both are great bikes, but honestly if you’re a tall beginner, the Adventure might be more forgiving. The more relaxed riding position also helps you not to put too much weight on your wrists, which is an issue for new riders on the more aggressive Duke.

Don't let your height blind you to the Duke! I am 6'3, and I love my Duke 250. It's a little weird to get used to, but the small size is so fun flicking around corners. Plus, it’s a lot easier to flat-foot at stops, which is nice for beginners.

It doesn't have to be the fastest on paper to the KTM. For riders who want performance but don't want aggressive ergonomics, the Roadster will be the ticket.

I think it'll struggle. It's lighter, and more powerful. To compete, RE needs to bring something really special.

This isn't the Roadster trying to be a KTM. It’s for the riders who want a balance of performance and comfort and that classic RE vibe.

The riding experience may be totally different, even if it doesn’t win on a spec sheet. Not everyone wants to be riding a high strung bike like the Duke.

India has a huge fan following of RE. But people will buy it even if it's not as sporty as the KTM, because of the brand and looks alone.

It will be interesting to see how it handles. The power difference would make it a real contender if RE has nailed the chassis and suspension.

Face it, most riders never come close to using the full potential of bikes such as the Duke. For most, the Roadster's usable power might be more than enough.

It's good, but not great. All day riding, the stock seat is a bit on the firm side. It made a world of difference for me, an aftermarket seat.
