Fuel efficiency is fine. It won’t make a huge difference in the budget for not everyone drives enough.
Is the Kia Carnival worth more than a traditional minivan?
03 January 2025 11:38
Absolutely worth it! Inside, the Carnival feels like a luxury SUV, and you're not driving a minivan that screams soccer mom. For long trips, the VIP seats are amazing.

It’s just an overpriced minivan with fancy marketing, no way. It's just as good but you can get a fully loaded Odyssey for less.

It depends on what you value. If you don't want a minivan that looks like one, the Carnival is great. If you just need practicality, don’t go for the more expensive ones.

It’s nice to have the premium features, but reliability is still unproven. I would pay that much, but wait a few years to see how they hold up.

The design is great, but it's being called an 'MPV' instead of a minivan is a little dishonest. Just own what it is, Kia!

Is the lower crash test rating of the Kia Carens X Line compensated by its safety features?
03 January 2025 11:34
No way. Poor structural integrity can't be fixed with all the fancy safety tech in the world. I wouldn't have my family in a car rated 3 stars no matter how many air bags it had.
Is the lower crash test rating of the Kia Carens X Line compensated by its safety features?
03 January 2025 11:34
I think the people are overreacting regarding the crash test results. More safety features than most cars on the road, the X Line has. The ones that are more likely to keep you safe in real driving are those active safety systems.
Is the lower crash test rating of the Kia Carens X Line compensated by its safety features?

It's a tough call. The ADAS features are really impressive, and could prevent a lot of accidents. Nevertheless, if you do wind up in a serious crash, you might want to have a sturdier car.
Is the lower crash test rating of the Kia Carens X Line compensated by its safety features?
03 January 2025 11:34
I’m using cars with ADAS and I can say they make a huge difference in day to day safety. With all those features I would feel safer in a Carens than a "safer" car without.
