It's a big issue for me. I am waiting for a hybrid version before buying, I love everything else about the Carnival.

Fuel efficiency is fine. It won’t make a huge difference in the budget for not everyone drives enough.
Is the Kia Carnival worth more than a traditional minivan?

Absolutely worth it! Inside, the Carnival feels like a luxury SUV, and you're not driving a minivan that screams soccer mom. For long trips, the VIP seats are amazing.

It’s just an overpriced minivan with fancy marketing, no way. It's just as good but you can get a fully loaded Odyssey for less.
Is the Kia Carnival worth more than a traditional minivan?

It depends on what you value. If you don't want a minivan that looks like one, the Carnival is great. If you just need practicality, don’t go for the more expensive ones.

Unique styling alone makes me think it's worth it. No other minivan turns heads like this and that means something to some people.

It’s nice to have the premium features, but reliability is still unproven. I would pay that much, but wait a few years to see how they hold up.
Does anyone really get fooled by the Kia Carnival’s SUV inspired design?

It fooled me at first glance! At first I thought it was a new full size SUV then I noticed the sliding doors.

There's no way, it's still obviously a minivan. No matter how boxy they make it, the sliding doors are a dead giveaway.

It doesn't completely hide its minivan roots, but I think it succeeds in looking more upscale. It's a smart compromise.

It’s not about fooling anybody — it’s about making minivans cool again. What the Carnival does is that it does that without pretending to be something it’s not.

The design is great, but it's being called an 'MPV' instead of a minivan is a little dishonest. Just own what it is, Kia!

It did fool some folks though; people have asked me what kind of SUV it is. That's a win in my book.

It's all marketing BS. No matter how you dress it up, it’s a minivan. Embrace the practicality, that’s all!
Let's compare the quality of the Invicto's interior, and its features against those of the established premium MPV segment i.e. the Kia Carnival.

I've sat in both and I'd say the interior on the Invicto is decent, but not quite up to Carnival's level. It feels good with the materials, but there’s still a whiff of 'mass market' in some places. There's just something about the Carnival that's just a touch more premium than the Razer Series.

Actually I like the Invicto's interior layout better. And it's more modern, with the panoramic sunroof making it feel airier. Yes, it may not have the bells and whistles of the Carnival, but for everyday use it is more than enough.

We can’t forget that the Invicto is a lot cheaper than the Carnival. I think Maruti has done a good job for the price difference. Although it isn't as plush, it's good value.

As with a Carnival, the Invito’s infotainment system is a little basic. At least in a premium MPV, I expect a more high tech and responsive system. In this department, Maruti needs to step up.

For someone used to Maruti interiors, the Invicto is a big leap. Maruti has come a long way and it might not beat the Carnival, but it’s impressive. In a few more years, I'll bet they'll be right up there with the best.

It’s definitely more luxurious Carnival. Those captain seats make a huge difference in comfort and convenience, and those power sliding doors as well.
