Does the Celerio's high ground clearance make any difference on Indian roads?
30 December 2024 07:31
For city use it's good, but on highways, I think the high clearance makes it a bit unstable at speeds.
Does the Celerio's high ground clearance make any difference on Indian roads?

The Celerio’s clearance is a breath of fresh air, coming from a lower car. No need to stress about every little bump anymore.
Is the Alto K10 the 'mountain goat' of Indian roads?
30 December 2024 07:09
Absolutely! I’ve put the K10 through some daft mountain passes and the car fits it like it was made for it. Light weight and nippy engine make it easy to turn hairpin turns.
Is the Alto K10 the 'mountain goat' of Indian roads?

It’s good, but we’re not going to get ahead of ourselves. In most cases, any decent driver can make it through mountain roads in most cars. In such a small car, you are closer to the edge, and it just feels more dramatic.
Is the Alto K10 the 'mountain goat' of Indian roads?
30 December 2024 07:09
Mountain goat? More like mountain mouse. But take it on a real off road trail and you won't get very far. It’s good for paved mountain roads and nothing more.
Is the Alto K10 the 'mountain goat' of Indian roads?
30 December 2024 07:09
I would say it deserves its reputation. The simplicity of the K10 is its strength. There’s no fancy electronics to fail, and it’s easy to repair should something go wrong. They are perfect for those remote mountain areas.
Is the Alto K10 the 'mountain goat' of Indian roads?
30 December 2024 07:09
It all comes down to power to weight. But the K10 doesn't have massive horsepower, and it doesn't need it, because it's so light. That’s why it feels so sprightly on mountain roads.
Is the Alto K10 the 'mountain goat' of Indian roads?
30 December 2024 07:09
K10s have taken on roads that would make a bigger SUV struggle. This is not just a car thing, by the way, it's a little machine that is capable and driven by skilled, confident drivers.
Is the Alto K10 the 'mountain goat' of Indian roads?
30 December 2024 07:09
Let’s be real, it’s not even a ‘mountain goat’; it’s just good marketing. It's not some off road beast, it's a city car that can do some hills. We need to manage our expectations.
Is the Alto's small size unsafe or is it in fact an advantage in Indian traffic?
30 December 2024 06:57
Small size is a lifesaver in the city traffic. I can shimmy into places that SUVs can only wish they could get their fat asses into.
Is the Alto's small size unsafe or is it in fact an advantage in Indian traffic?

It's a tin can on wheels. In an Alto, I'd never feel safe if another vehicle hit it.
Is the Alto's small size unsafe or is it in fact an advantage in Indian traffic?
30 December 2024 06:57
Build quality is more important than size. There are some small cars that are safer than the big ones.
Is the Alto's small size unsafe or is it in fact an advantage in Indian traffic?
30 December 2024 06:57
Being small is an advantage in bumper to bumper traffic. I feel like I’m going to be blown away on highways, though.
Is the Alto's small size unsafe or is it in fact an advantage in Indian traffic?

Defensive driving is all it is. I always take care, so I've been driving an Alto for years now without any problems.
Is the Alto's small size unsafe or is it in fact an advantage in Indian traffic?
30 December 2024 06:57
Because the Alto is small, it is less visible to trucks and buses. I’ve had too many close calls.
Is the Alto's small size unsafe or is it in fact an advantage in Indian traffic?

Sometimes it's safer to be able to maneuver quickly than to be a big, slow moving vehicle in India.
Do the XUV700's ADAS features work in Indian driving conditions?
30 December 2024 06:23
Surprisingly enough, I’ve found the ADAS features to be surprisingly useful on long highway drives. Adaptive cruise control is a real game changer with respect to reducing fatigue.
Do the XUV700's ADAS features work in Indian driving conditions?
30 December 2024 06:23
ADAS in India? It’s more like "Anxiety-Inducing Driver Confusion System"! Our traffic beeps and flashes warnings that don’t make sense.
Do the XUV700's ADAS features work in Indian driving conditions?
30 December 2024 06:23
I think it's a mixed bag. For example, the automatic emergency braking has saved my butt on more than one occasion from close call. Some, like lane keep assist, are pretty useless on most Indian roads, but there are others which are quite useful.
Do the XUV700's ADAS features work in Indian driving conditions?
30 December 2024 06:23
ADAS features are nice to have, but I wouldn’t say I need them. They work pretty good on well marked highways but generally I turn them off in city traffic.
