Does the Transalp's lack of tubeless wheels limit its adventure potential?
21 January 2025 10:53
For the average rider doing light off-road stuff, it won't matter. But for those planning serious adventures, it might be a reason to look elsewhere.
Does the Transalp's lack of tubeless wheels limit its adventure potential?
21 January 2025 10:53
I actually prefer tubed tires for real off-road use. They're more reliable in extreme conditions and less likely to unseat from the rim.
Does the Transalp's lack of tubeless wheels limit its adventure potential?
21 January 2025 10:53
It's a compromise, like everything else on an adventure bike. Honda probably chose tubes to keep costs down and improve wheel strength.
Does the Transalp's lack of tubeless wheels limit its adventure potential?
21 January 2025 10:53
The lack of tubeless wheels is disappointing, but it's not the end of the world. You can always convert them to tubeless with aftermarket kits if it bothers you that much.
Does the Transalp's lack of tubeless wheels limit its adventure potential?
21 January 2025 10:53
For a bike that's more likely to see tarmac than dirt, tubed wheels are fine. It's not like most Transalp owners will be tackling the Dakar Rally.
Does the Transalp's lack of tubeless wheels limit its adventure potential?
21 January 2025 10:53
It's a strange choice by Honda, considering even their CB500X has tubeless wheels now. Maybe they'll offer it as an option in future model years.
Is the Honda XL750 Transalp a true adventure bike or just a road-biased tourer?
21 January 2025 10:52
It's definitely more road-biased, but that's not a bad thing. Most ADV riders barely touch dirt anyway, so Honda's just being realistic.
Is the Honda XL750 Transalp a true adventure bike or just a road-biased tourer?
21 January 2025 10:52
I'd say it's a true adventure bike. It can handle light off-road stuff, which is more than enough for 90% of riders. Plus, it's way more comfortable on long highway stretches than some of the more dirt-focused bikes.
Is the Honda XL750 Transalp a true adventure bike or just a road-biased tourer?
21 January 2025 10:52
Nah, it's just a tall road bike. No proper skid plate mounting points? Come on, Honda. If you can't protect the engine, it's not a real ADV.
Is the Honda XL750 Transalp a true adventure bike or just a road-biased tourer?
21 January 2025 10:52
It's an all-rounder, and that's what makes it great. Not everyone wants to wrestle a 500-pound dirt bike on the road or sacrifice comfort for extreme off-road capability.
Is the Honda XL750 Transalp a true adventure bike or just a road-biased tourer?
21 January 2025 10:52
I think it's more of a spiritual successor to the old Transalp—a do-it-all bike that's comfortable on the road but can handle some dirt when needed. It's not trying to be a Dakar racer.
Is the Honda XL750 Transalp a true adventure bike or just a road-biased tourer?
21 January 2025 10:52
The line between adventure and touring is blurry these days. The Transalp seems to sit right in the middle, which is perfect for riders who want versatility without extremes.
Is the Honda XL750 Transalp a true adventure bike or just a road-biased tourer?
21 January 2025 10:52
It's as much of an adventure bike as most riders need. Let's be honest: how many of us are doing hardcore off-roading on our 800cc+ bikes anyway?
Is the Honda XL750 Transalp a true adventure bike or just a road-biased tourer?
21 January 2025 10:52
I'd argue it's more capable off-road than people give it credit for. Sure, it's not a KTM 890 Adventure R, but with the right tires and some protection, it can handle quite a bit.
Is the Honda XL750 Transalp a true adventure bike or just a road-biased tourer?
21 January 2025 10:52
It's a road bike with adventure styling. Nothing wrong with that, but let's call it what it is. If you want real off-road chops, look elsewhere.
Is the Honda XL750 Transalp a true adventure bike or just a road-biased tourer?
21 January 2025 10:52
The beauty of the Transalp is that it doesn't try to be the best at everything. It's a jack-of-all-trades that will suit most riders' needs without breaking the bank or sacrificing reliability.
Why hasn't Honda updated the Unicorn 160's design?
21 January 2025 10:44
Honda's playing it safe, and it's boring as hell. They're relying on brand loyalty instead of innovation.
Why hasn't Honda updated the Unicorn 160's design?
21 January 2025 10:44
I actually appreciate the consistent design. It's like the Volkswagen Beetle of motorcycles—iconic and timeless.
Why hasn't Honda updated the Unicorn 160's design?
21 January 2025 10:44
They haven't updated it because they don't need to. The Unicorn still sells well enough, so why fix what isn't broken?
Why hasn't Honda updated the Unicorn 160's design?
21 January 2025 10:44
It's a missed opportunity. Honda could've evolved the design while keeping the Unicorn's essence. Look at what Royal Enfield did with the Classic 350.
