2015 Bajaj CT100 returns a mileage of 80-90 kmpl which is a very impressive figure for a bike available for INR 35,800. The engine remains the same at 99.27 cc, generating 8 BHP of power and 8.05 NM of torque.

I recommend Pulsar 220F as it brings more style with its body fairing and more power (20.8 BHP) with it. Safety is enhanced with the double disc braking system and also the shades suit the bigger body structure of the bike. Pulsar 180 just tops up at lower fuel consumption but the smoother experience of 220 fades that belief away.

Both the Bajaj CT 100's are exactly having the same engine and same driving specifications. Producing 8.1 BHP , the 99.27 cc engine is an economical and value for money option. The only difference they have is the new body graphics and the alloy wheels being provided. Its as reliable as it was a decade ago with 80-90 kmpl.

No official statement has been made on the mileage of the upcoming Pulsar 400 SS. Being performance oriented and 44 BHP engine, we expect it to be around 25 kmpl (combined). Highways would be right for the engine to perform and also not to be greedy for the fuel as city mileage may drop down to 20-22 kmpl.

The engine will be mated to 6 speed gearbox. It was available in two options i.e. Bajaj Chetak 2-Stroke and Bajaj Chetak 4-Stroke. The 2-stroke variant is powered by a 145.45 cc, 2 stroke engine which generates a maximum power of 7.5 bhp @ 5500 rpm and churns out a maximum torque of 10.8 Nm @ 3500 rpm. On the other side, the 4-stroke option has got a 125 cc engine which yields a maximum power of 8.0 bhp@6500rpm and churns out a maximum torque of 9.4nm@5000rpm.
