Does the Pulsar N250 deliver on Bajaj’s promise of improved refinement?
30 January 2025 09:32
I was skeptical coming from Japanese bikes. I have to give credit to them, though. It’s not Honda level smooth, but it’s a hell of a lot better than I thought it would be. But the gearbox, in particular, is a joy to use.
Does the Pulsar N250 deliver on Bajaj’s promise of improved refinement?
30 January 2025 09:32
It is definitely refined, but not in a consistent way across the rev range. It has a buttery smooth mid range, but get it near redline, and that classic Pulsar buzziness returns. They just seemed to have concentrated on the engine itself, which is where most people use it.
Does the Pulsar N250 deliver on Bajaj’s promise of improved refinement?
30 January 2025 09:32
Face it, "refinement" is as subjective as it gets. The N250 will feel super smooth for some. For others, it will be too rough still. It’s really subjective, depending on what you’re comparing it to and what your expectations are. For the price point, I've refined it enough in my book.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar N250 really all it’s hyped up to be?
30 January 2025 09:32
I honestly believe the hype is deserved. That's a proper evolution of the Pulsar line. It's noticeably better refined than older Pulsars and that new engine is butter smooth. And the styling is top notch, it looks mean without going overboard.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar N250 really all it’s hyped up to be?
30 January 2025 09:32
Eh, I'm not completely sold. It's an improvement, but how much better is it than the NS200? For marginal performance gains, the price difference doesn’t seem worth it. I was expecting more oomph from a 250cc Pulsar.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar N250 really all it’s hyped up to be?

If you've used the old 220F and the new N250, I can tell you that it's an upgrade. It feels more planted on the highway and is miles better in build quality. I sometimes miss the raw character of the 220F.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar N250 really all it’s hyped up to be?
30 January 2025 09:32
I think people are forgetting about the comfort factor. Ergonomically the N250 is spot on for daily commuting and weekend rides. It's not a track weapon, and it’s not trying to be. It's pretty damn good for what it is.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar N250 really all it’s hyped up to be?
30 January 2025 09:32
The hype is mostly marketing, let’s be real. Sure, it’s a decent bike, but it’s not revolutionizing anything. Competitors like the Gixxer 250 or the Apache RTR 200 4V give you similar or better performance. Bajaj just has a bigger marketing budget.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar N250 really all it’s hyped up to be?
30 January 2025 09:32
If you’re a Pulsar fan looking to upgrade, I’d say it’s worth the hype. If you’re new to the brand, you might be better off with another option depending on what you’re after. It was a jack of all trades, master of none situation.
Is the Bajaj Pulsar N250 really all it’s hyped up to be?
30 January 2025 09:32
In reality, the real value of the N250 lies in its reliability and its very low maintenance costs. Now, it may not be the most exciting bike out there, but it's definitely a good solid workhorse for getting the job done and not letting you down. Sometimes, outright performance is more important, but sometimes that’s more important.
Is the Pulsar N160 2 Channel ABS worthy of the Pulsar legacy?

Absolutely! If the N160 is a modern evolution of the Pulsar, it feels like it. It has that same punchy feel, but with better refinement.

I would love to have the old school Pulsar design. Now the N160 looks too much like other bikes in the market.
Is the Pulsar N160 2 Channel ABS worthy of the Pulsar legacy?
30 January 2025 09:21
It's a Pulsar, but in a good way. The safety level was lacking in the older models, but the dual channel ABS adds to that.

It’s got the spirit, but it’s lost that raw Pulsar style. It feels more civilized, I guess?

I own Pulsars since the 150 DTSi days and I'd say N160 is a worthy successor. It's just evolved.

Is the Pulsar N160 2 Channel ABS worthy of the Pulsar legacy?

Is the Pulsar N160 2 Channel ABS suitable for long distance touring?

My N160 did a 600km round trip like a champ. The vehicle is very comfortable, mileage is good and ABS is boon on highways.
Is the Pulsar N160 2 Channel ABS suitable for long distance touring?
30 January 2025 09:21
For weekend getaways, it’s fine, but for serious touring you’d want something with more displacement. The engine feels stressed at highway speeds.
Is the Pulsar N160 2 Channel ABS suitable for long distance touring?

With some minor changes such as a taller windscreen and better padding on the seat, it can actually be a decent tourer. Though the stock setup is more city oriented.
