I'm on the fence. The build quality is not as robust as some competitors, but that’s great for city use. I’m concerned about how well it is going to survive after a couple years of steady abuse.

I have to admit, the Dost Lite LE does our local roads real justice. I've purposely driven it through some fairly gnarly potholes, and it takes them like a boss. Surprisingly for a truck in this price range, the suspension is good.

Eh, it’s just okay within the city, but if you’re outside one… I mean, there’s a difference. I have had problems with the undercarriage scraping on rough bits, especially fully laden. It would have had a little more ground clearance.

I believe this does a decent job for what it is. It will make do, and it’s comfortable enough for every day use, for sure it’s not gonna give you a luxury car ride but you will be fine. So, do not expect miracles on really bad stretches.

The handling in the hills has been pleasantly surprising. Those hairpin turns make a huge difference in power steering and it doesn't feel like its underpowered on steep inclines.

There’s a mixed bag during monsoon. Visibility is great in the higher seating position, but I have had a couple of scary moments in waterlogged areas. Heavy rains definitely need to be careful of.

I did the math, and the Dost CNG LS still wins for me. It is cheaper in terms of initial cost and the CNG infrastructure is already there. On paper, electric sounds good, but we are not there yet in terms of practicality.

Costs are only one half of the story – consider operational flexibility. I can refuel in minutes with the Dost CNG LS. And electric vehicles still can't come close to that, which is key for my business that runs a long time.

CNG is a good stepping stone but the future is electric. Now the Dost CNG LS is working great but I already have plans to switch to electric in the next 3-5 years when the technology and infrastructure in place would allow me to do so.

Electric is all the rage, but let’s face it, in most of India, the electricity is still coming from coal. At least I know I am using a cleaner fuel with the Dost CNG LS. It's not perfect, but it's a practical solution for the time being.

I have researched this a lot, and I still believe Dost CNG LS is a better option at present. People think that the total lifecycle emissions (including battery production for EVs) are clear cut. CNG is a good compromise.

From an environmental point of view, I feel much happier with my Dost CNG LS than with my old diesel vehicle. The idea of going fully electric is appealing though. I am just waiting for the right electric model that matches my business needs.

The vehicle is only part of the equation. Right now, the Dost CNG LS fits perfectly into the existing infrastructure. Electric sounds good, but it is a complete change in how we think about refueling and vehicle range.

I feel that people are underrating Dost CNG LS in this debate. It is a proven technology – much cleaner than diesel. Electric is the future, and CNG is an excellent bridge technology that is available and effective today.

Absolutely worth it! Last year, I switched from a diesel pickup to the Dost CNG LS and my fuel costs have literally halved. With rising diesel prices, the savings are insane.

It's a mixed bag, honestly. They have lower running costs, just higher initial investment. It took me about 18 months to make a profit. This will depend on your usage, you will have to do the math.
