Absolutely not! Daily my RSV4 and it's a dream. You can’t use all 217 horses, but the bike is so well balanced it is a joy at legal speeds as well. Nothing beats that V4 sound on my commute either, plus.

It's way overkill for the street. I had one, and sold it after a year. I always thought I was just barely able to scratch the surface of its capabilities. I got a naked bike instead, and having much more fun.

It's not just a question of power – the ergonomics are brutal for street use. An hour in and my wrists and back were killing me. Great bike, though the wrong application of it.

In some ways I'd argue it's safer than a smaller bike. You have more control in an emergency situation thanks to brakes and suspension that are top notch.

It’s overkill, yes, but who cares? There's no point in riding boring bikes when life's too short. You can’t enjoy all the power, but you can use it.
