Renault India has launched the Night & Day Limited Edition of the Renault Triber, which includes cosmetic upgrades such as a pearl white with mystery black roof dual-tone color, piano black elements on the grille, ORVMs, and wheel covers. This limited edition, based on the RXL variant, also features a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen and a rear view camera. The Triber Night & Day Limited Edition is priced at Rs. 7 lakh, a premium of Rs. 20,000 over the standard RXL variant. I think this limited edition adds a nice touch of elegance to the Triber.

The Renault Triber Limited Edition AMT has been updated with new features such as a seven-inch digital instrument panel, TPMS, powered ORVMs, a wireless charger, and a driver armrest. The vehicle also comes with a cooled centre console storage and seatbelt reminders. The Triber AMT offers solid value for money with its spacious interior and comfortable ride quality, although the AMT gearbox is not as smooth as some of its competitors. I believe the added features make it a more compelling option in its segment.

The Renault Triber AMT was praised for its space management, seating layout flexibility, and visibility. The vehicle can seat seven occupants, and the third row can be removed for more boot space, offering 625 litres. However, the AMT gearbox was criticized for being slow and not as refined as other automatic transmissions in the market. Despite this, the Triber remains a good family car due to its practicality and safety features. I think the space and flexibility make it a great option for families.

Bookings for the Renault Triber, including the AMT variant, commenced in August 2019 with a token amount of Rs. 11,000. The Triber was launched as a sub-four metre 7-seater MPV, offering segment-first features and a unique design. It was positioned as a premium hatchback with a twist, aiming to compete with B-segment hatchbacks. The launch marked a significant entry for Renault in the Indian market. I believe this was a smart move by Renault to tap into the Indian family car segment.
