The Renault Duster 7-seater, known as the Dacia Bigster, is set to debut in India by the end of 2025 or early 2026. This SUV will be based on the Renault-Nissan alliances CMF-B platform and will feature a stylish design and a tech-loaded interior. It is expected to come equipped with a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, mated to manual and CVT automatic gearboxes. I believe this will be a strong contender in the mid-size SUV segment, especially with its competitive pricing expected to start from around Rs 12 lakh.

The Dacia Bigster has been unveiled globally, showcasing its exterior design that closely resembles the 2025 Renault Duster, with similar headlights and tail lights, and up to 19-inch alloy wheels. The interior features include a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 10-inch digital drivers display, and a panoramic sunroof. It also comes with advanced safety features like multiple airbags and a rear parking camera. I think the combination of these features and its expected price will make it an attractive option for Indian buyers.

The Bigster SUV will be introduced at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, marking the global debut of the 7-seater version of the Renault Duster. The vehicle will be longer than the standard Duster, measuring 4,600 mm, and will feature V-shaped tail lamps and a more imposing on-road presence. It will compete with rivals like the Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai Alcazar, and Tata Safari. I believe its larger size and additional features will give it a competitive edge in the Indian market.

The Renault Duster 7-seater, or Bigster, is expected to be loaded with amenities such as a dual-tone grey and black interior, a 10.1-inch infotainment system, a 10-inch digital drivers display, and a panoramic sunroof. It will also feature a selectable AWD system with multi-terrain modes and safety features like ADAS and multiple airbags. I think the emphasis on both comfort and safety will make this SUV a compelling choice for family buyers in India.

The Bigster SUV will come with several powertrain options, including a strong-hybrid 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 155 PS and a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid setup. It will also offer an optional all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain. I believe the variety in powertrain choices will cater to different consumer preferences and driving conditions in India.
