The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire, set to launch on November 11, 2024, will be available in several variants, including the VXi (O) Automatic. This variant will feature a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, and a 360-degree camera. The Dzire will be powered by a new 1.2-litre Z Series NA petrol engine, producing 80bhp and 112Nm of peak torque, paired with a 5-speed AMT gearbox. I believe this combination of features and engine will make the Dzire a strong contender in its segment.

Bookings for the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire, including the VXi (O) Automatic, are already underway with a token amount of Rs. 11,000. The car has undergone significant design changes, including a larger black grille, crystalline LED headlights, and revised LED tail lamps. The interior features a faux wooden panel and a free-standing infotainment screen. I think the new design elements will appeal to a wide range of buyers.

The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire has achieved a 5-star safety rating in GNCAP crash tests, a first for any Maruti model. The VXi (O) Automatic variant will come equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, and hill hold assist, making it one of the safest options in its class. This safety record is likely to boost consumer confidence. I believe this safety feature will be a major selling point.

The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is expected to be priced starting from around Rs. 6.70 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant, with the VXi (O) Automatic likely to be priced higher. The car will compete with the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor. I believe the competitive pricing will help the Dzire maintain its market lead.
