The Mahindra KUV100 NXT K4 Plus, a mid-range variant of the KUV100 series, has been discontinued in the Indian market. This decision was made as part of Mahindras strategy to streamline their product lineup and focus on more popular models. The K4 Plus was known for its 1.2 litre mFalcon G80 engine, manual air conditioner, and power windows. I believe this move might impact customers looking for a feature-rich compact SUV in the budget segment.

Mahindra has enhanced the safety features of the KUV100 NXT series, including the K4 Plus variant. All variants, except the base K2, now come with dual front airbags and ABS with EBD as standard. Additional safety features like speed-sensing auto-door locks and rear parking sensors are available in higher variants. I think these updates make the KUV100 NXT a more compelling option for safety-conscious buyers.

The Mahindra KUV100 NXT K4 Plus boasts a range of comfort and convenience features, including a manual air conditioner, power windows, and a day/night interior rearview mirror. It also comes with a height-adjustable driver’s seat and adjustable front row headrests, making it a comfortable choice for daily driving. I believe these features add significant value to the vehicle, especially considering its price point.

The KUV100 NXT K4 Plus is powered by a 1.2 litre mFalcon G80 petrol engine, producing 81.8 HP and 115 Nm of torque. It features a 5-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. The vehicle also has a ground clearance of 170 mm and a boot space of 243 litres. I think the engine performance and ground clearance make it suitable for both city and light off-road driving.

Mahindra has improved the NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) levels in the KUV100 NXT series, including the K4 Plus, by using more silent engine mounts and adding more cabin insulation material. However, some users still report noticeable engine noise inside the cabin. I believe this is a step in the right direction, but theres still room for improvement in noise insulation.
