Hyundai Santro Magna CNG Updates

Although the petrol variants are discontinued, the CNG variants will continue to be sold. This decision is part of Hyundais strategy to consolidate resources and minimize supply chain constraints. I believe this move reflects the shifting consumer preferences towards SUVs and compact SUVs in the Indian market.

Tuesday, 11 January 2022 07:52 AM Hyundai has introduced new CNG variants for the Santro, replacing the old Magna CNG and Sportz CNG with the Magna Executive and Sportz Executive. These new variants come with fewer features compared to their non-executive counterparts but are priced lower. The CNG variants are powered by a 1.1L petrol engine producing 60PS and 85Nm of torque when running on CNG. I think this is a smart move to keep the Santro competitive in the CNG segment.
