Hyundai has issued a recall for certain 2015-2016 Elantra vehicles due to a trunk latch issue that could prevent the trunk from opening from the inside, potentially trapping someone inside. Dealers will replace the trunk latch base sub-assembly free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 5, 2024. I believe this is a critical safety fix that owners should not ignore.

Another recall affects the 2015 Hyundai Elantra, along with several other Hyundai models, due to an issue with the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module that could cause an engine compartment fire. Owners are advised to park their vehicles outside and away from structures until the repair is done. Dealers will replace the ABS fuse free of charge.
