Honda Brio comes fitted with a 1.2L, 4 potted 16valve, SOHC engine, i-VTEC petrol engine, mated with 6-speed manual transmission gearbox and a 5-speed automatic. It delivers a decent power of 86 bhp @ 6000rpm. The max torque churned out is 109 Nm at the rate of 4500 rpm. This figure is not reached by any other hatch in the respective segment. For more power and fuel efficiency, the engine comes hooked with the SOHC system, for efficient breathing of the engine.

The hatch is overall good and manages to return a healthy mileage of 19.4 km/l in the manual transmission and 16.5 km/l for the automatic gearbox. The high end model comes with ABS, EBD, front fog lamps, silver inside door handles, a dual horn and alloy wheels. It is competing head to head with the so called 'hatches', such as Nissan Micra and Volkswagen Polo.
